Specifically, the Live Entertainment Tax. EDC is exempt from that tax today but might not be after this year’s EDC event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Passion Pit’s ‘Carried Away’ was already an amazingly fun song to dance to, and then Tiesto came along and turned into an outright dance anthem. Why stop there though when you can make an amazing music video to go with it? I can only imagine how much fun it was to film a group of kids shoveling what looks like pixie powder into their mouths  and then exploding into piles of clones of themselves. Who comes up with this stuff?

It was back when I first heard his track ‘Placid Acid’ that I fell in love with Brighton producer Tourist. A year later, he’s reminded me of his talent with ‘Your Girl’. It’s sexy, ethereal and haunting, with subtle vocals taken from Aaliyah’s ‘If Your Girl Only Knew’.
